Scalextric4Schools is open to all UK secondary schools, colleges, and educational organisations. Signing up is quick and affordable, giving you everything you need to take part in the national competition.

How to Register

Complete the online expression of interest form before 30th July by scanning the QR code.
Pay the £25 sign-up fee (per school) normally £35
Get instant access to resources and your exclusive discount code.

What’s Included in Your £25 Registration Fee?

To take part in Scalextric4Schools, each school pays a small annual registration fee. This helps cover essential running costs and gives you access to high-quality curriculum resources, CAD files, and discounts.

Early Bird Registration – £25 per school

Valid: 11 July – 31 August 2025
Payments accepted until 30 September 2025

Registering early gives you:

Full access to teaching materials and CAD files
Entry for up to 2 teams initially
A 30% discount on official Scalextric parts
Access to exclusive 3D printable and physical components
Online training in Onshape, PTC Creo, and KeyShot
Priority access to the national finals (subject to competition rules)
Teams will be give 2 weeks advanced notice to sign up for the finals and gain permission for the school to attend.

Standard Registration – £35 per school

Opens: October 2025

Later registrations still receive full access to resources and competition entry but do not qualify for priority access to the finals.

New to Scalextric4Schools

You will automatically be signed up to our Rookie of the year category

The Rookie Entry category is designed specifically for teams in their first or second year of taking part in Scalextric4Schools. It offers a supportive, entry-level route into the competition while still challenging students to develop key design, engineering, and teamwork skills.

Teams entering the Rookie category have two main options:

Use and adapt the demo car chassis
A simplified, entry-level chassis will be provided (available in multiple CAD formats). Teams can use this as a starting point – modifying and improving it to suit their design ideas, styling preferences, or performance goals.
Design your own from scratch
For teams who feel ready, you’re welcome to design and build your own chassis and car body entirely from the ground up, as long as it meets the competition rules.

This category is perfect for helping new teams build confidence and gain experience before progressing to the more advanced entries in future years.

Whether you modify the demo car or start from a blank slate, creativity, problem-solving, and enthusiasm are what matter most.
