Team Resources

​Team Resources are available to schools registered for Scalextric4Schools.

Once a teacher has registered their school and created a website member account, access will be approved so they can download the protected resources needed to support their teams.

​

These resources will be updated for 2027 and include:

• CAD files and downloadable models

• chassis and component files

• printable parts and support materials

• design and portfolio templates

• competition updates

• official parts ordering information

• event and finals information

Team Resources are only available to registered schools. Teachers must register their school and create a website member account before access is approved. Once approved, they can sign in and download the protected resources. Access is reviewed and reset on 1 September each year.

CAD Files

CAD files are provided to help teams get started, explore design ideas and develop their own Scalextric4Schools car.

Registered teachers can access CAD resources in two ways.

Onshape Teacher Team

Teachers using Onshape can request access to the Scalextric4Schools Teacher Team. This allows registered teachers to access shared Onshape resources and support materials directly within Onshape.

This is for teachers only, not students.

When joining the Onshape Scalextric4Schools Teacher Team, other teachers in the team may be able to see your name and email address within Onshape.

Teachers can request this when completing the registration form by selecting:

Downloadable CAD Files

For schools not using Onshape, generic CAD files will be available to download from the protected Team Resources area.

These may include:

• STL files

• STEP files

• Parasolid files

• printable components

• chassis and support models

To protect the competition resources, CAD downloads are only available to registered schools through the Team Resources area.

Video Tutorials

To make tutorials easier for students to access, Scalextric4Schools video support is hosted on the OnTeacher YouTube channel.

OnTeacher provides CAD/CAM, Onshape and Design & Technology tutorials that support the skills needed for the competition. A dedicated Scalextric4Schools playlist will help teams get started, develop their designs and prepare for manufacture, testing and presentation.

Existing tutorials are available on the OnTeacher YouTube channel now, with new Scalextric4Schools tutorials being created and added over summer 2026.

Tutorials may support:

• getting started with Onshape

• editing chassis files

• developing car body designs

• preparing files for manufacture

• 3D printing

• testing and improving designs

• rendering and presentation

Curriculum Resources​

Curriculum resources are currently under construction.

This section will be updated ready for September 2026 to support teachers using Scalextric4Schools in lessons, STEM clubs and enrichment activities.

Planned resources include:

• teacher guidance

• lesson support materials

• PowerPoint presentations

• student worksheets

• project planning documents

• design and testing resources

Existing curriculum materials may be added here while the updated resources are being developed.
